Ophrah Winfrey had forest Whitaker on her show this week. She said that actors and directors usually call her wanting to be on her show to promote their films, but she called Forest Whitaker. Ophrah said she had seen her own movie (The Color Purple) twice, but she loved The Last King in Scotland so much, she had already seen it three times. She had a viewing for her studio guest. She really loved the movie.
She seemed to really be using her influence to help him get nominated for an Oscar. Ophrah went on and on about how great Whitaker was and how much she love the film. She showed about four clips from the movie, Gillian was in one.
Ophrah has alot of influence, I hope she can push this to be a big movie . She only has to metion a book on her show and it's a best seller.

him and TLKOS will most definitely give both a major boost.

She mention that the movie would be in wide release in October.

Thanks for this information---moe---and this sounds about
right---considering that the general release for TLKOS is on
September 27---and this seems to be an extremely limited
release on said date---in New York and Los Angeles---and
then I guess that the movie will go wide after this.
